Burnfoot Hall - Ecclefechan

Burnfoot Hall - Ecclefechan

Recent refurbishment, whilst retaining the Hall’s original features, has created 27 spacious rooms each with en-suite wheelchair friendly showers and most with fitted kitchenettes. Rooms are leased unfurnished allowing tenants to provide their own furniture, creating a more homely atmosphere. Our friendly and helpful staff will clean each room once a week.

There are four domestic kitchens (2 upstairs and 2 down) available for tenants use and are fitted with washer dryers. Large sitting and dining rooms are available for those who wish to socialise with other tenants, as well as providing an ideal setting for a range of activities.

Transport can be arranged for tenants wishing to venture out for the day. Meals can be ordered from our “menu of the day”. Connection to SKY can be arranged. The cost of transport, meals, heat, light and laundry is payable to Mead Medical Services Ltd. An emergency call system is in operation with staff on site 24-hours a day for your safety and security.

Mead Medical Services Ltd. will be your landlord with the option of our subsidiary company JPM Community Care Services being available to meet all your care and support needs. An assessment of your needs will be made by your Social Worker who will discuss these with you, giving you all the options available and will assist you in making your decision if required to do so.

As a tenant at The Hall you will retain your state pension, income support and any other benefits to which you are entitled dependent upon your financial assessment.

Care Inspectorate

The Scottish Government set up the Care Inspectorate to provide assurance and protection for people who use care, social work and child protection. We operate out of offices across Scotland.

We are accountable to ministers of The Scottish Government.

Tenants are able to move around freely and easily within the Hall and its grounds. There are ample walking areas and easy access to safe secure gardens. The home is run in a way that protects tenants from any avoidable risk or harm.

The Hall is kept in good decorative order and furnishings are well maintained. All bedrooms and public rooms have windows. Tenants can expect to sit somewhere and always have a view out of a window. The door to the tenant’s room will have a lock and staff will be able to gain access if there is an emergency.

How to find Burnfoot Village

Conveniently sited 1 mile south of Ecclefechan (exit 19 on the M74) and 1 mile from exit 20 on the M74, 18 miles north of Carlisle. Situated in 20 acres of parkland, the Hall is a magnificent 18th century manor house constructed from locally sourced sandstone with some later additions.
